EDWARD J. CUHACI - Founder, Chairman of the Board

In 1963, Mr. Cuhaci established the firm of Edward J. Cuhaci, Architect, currently known as Edward J. Cuhaci and Associates Architects Inc. In 1978, Mr. Cuhaci, in association with Mr. Lonnie G. Peterson, established Cuhaci & Peterson, Architects Inc. in Orlando, Florida, U.S.A. Mr. Cuhaci has worked for a variety of clients in the private and public sectors, offering a wide scope of architectural and related services in the design of institutional, educational, high technology, industrial, and heritage restoration projects. In 2007, with the aim of managing the continued growth of Edward J. Cuhaci and Associates Architects Inc., and to secure its future, Mr. Cuhaci reorganized the Firm by appointing a new and dynamic Leadership Team. Mr. Cuhaci remains dedicated to the Firm's high standard of service.

Since joining Edward J. Cuhaci and Associates Architects Inc. in 1983, David Bull has been the Project Director for many high technology, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. David is also responsible for overseeing contract administration and quality control. He specializes in the management of projects with fast-track construction schedules and innovative project delivery methods. He also offers expertise in the design and implementation of energy-efficient building technology. David is the Firm's Senior Laboratory Design Expert and, most recently, completed the design of a large bio-safety, "Level 3" laboratory for the University of Ottawa. He works closely with scientists and faculty to ensure comprehensive planning and design solutions are achieved.

JERZY JUREWICZ - Vice President

Jerzy Jurewicz joined the firm in 1990, and was a Senior Project Architect for nine years. Recently, he was a Senior Designer and an Associate Principal with the Florida- and Indiana-based firm, Schenkel Shultz Architecture. In 2007, Jerzy returned to Edward J. Cuhaci and Associates Architects Inc. Throughout his career, he has specialized in the design, project management, and construction administration of educational, research, corporate, and airport facilities. Jerzy serves as a Senior Project Architect, and oversees and implements the design direction of the Firm. An award-winning designer, Jerzy has received recognition for design excellence for a wide variety of projects. He has a special interest in mentoring intern architects.

MARK CUHACI - Vice President

Mark Cuhaci has been with the Firm since 2002. Prior to joining, Mark spent twelve years in the high tech industry. In 1996, he moved from Ottawa to California to become an Executive Director at Zip2, a start-up company in Silicon Valley. In 1999, he went to London, England, where he was Vice President for AltaVista. Currently, Mark oversees the operational policies of the firm. He leads business development for commercial and corporate markets by interacting with corporations, developers, building owners, and real estate brokers. Mark is a Board Member of the Ottawa Heart Institute, "Leaders at Heart", and a Member of the Downtown Coalition Steering Committee.

MARK GRAY - Principal

Mark has been with the firm since 1998. Before joining Edward J. Cuhaci and Associates Architects Inc., he worked for Perkins and Will, Chicago, Illinois, and Douglas Cardinal Architects, Washington, D.C. His project experience includes planning, design, and project management of educational, institutional, commercial, industrial, and custom residential projects. Mark has special expertise in the design of renovation and restoration of heritage buildings, and in the interior design of corporate and institutional projects. With a strong background in design, Mark often participates on the conceptual and planning phases of projects. Principles that guide his design work include integrating culture and the environment, paying close attention to details, and being cost effective.
