CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Our firm is actively seeking the services of the following individuals to partake in some of our exciting projects:

• Senior Technologist
• Intermediate Technologist
• Senior Project Architect

Senior Technologist:

The Senior Technologist would be responsible for managing the production of medium to large projects. The candidate would be expected to both manage a team while also producing drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD 2006.

The successful candidate will be required to show a strong track record of managing a production team on a $5 + million project. The candidate must also be willing to contribute to the production of drawings while managing a production team. She/he will have a minimum of 10 years North American experience as an Architectural Technologist and will have at minimum the following qualifications:

• Substantial experience with Autodesk’s AutoCAD version 2004 or higher
• Substantial experience in the preparation of working drawings and commercial building construction detailing
• Vapour barriers
• Exterior wall design
• Window connections & glazing details
• A successful track record coordinating sub-consultants
• Firm understanding of issues that are subject to Building Codes and construction safety – MMAH certification would be an asset
• Experience in construction administration and supervision
• Experience with writing specifications
• Leadership qualities within the firm to manage and motivate a production team of junior technologists

Intermediate Technologist:

The successful candidate must have a strong track record of producing complete sets of detailed construction drawings; show a willingness and a ability to take on the completion of working drawings to conform to client deadlines. The candidate will have at least 5 years North American experience working as an Architectural Technologist and will have at minimum the following qualifications:

• Substantial experience in computer automated design using AutoCAD version 2004 or higher
• Experience in commercial building construction detailing
• Vapour barriers
• Exterior wall design
• Window connections, glazing details
• An understanding of issues that are subject to building codes and construction safety
  

Senior Project Architect

Our firm is actively seeking the services of a Senior Project Architect to take on the responsibility of managing medium to large institutional projects. The successful candidate must be fully licensed, have a BCDN and carry the following qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years Canadian experience working on institutional projects
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong understanding of commercial building construction detailing
• A successful track record coordinating sub-consultants
• Experience in construction administration and supervision
• Experience writing specifications
• Leadership qualities within the firm to manage and motivate a project team
• Experience using AutoCad 2004 or higher
