SECOND COMBAT ENGINEERING REGIMENT FACILITY

This project was one of a number of new buildings planned for the Canadian Forces Base, Petawawa, Ontario. The 7,745 square-metre building is a steel structure with insulated, precast concrete, sandwich panels. The exterior is curtain wall glazing. The single-storey design features a 2.6 metre ceiling height in the administration and stores areas, and a 9.6 metre ceiling height in the maintenance bays. Site development incorporated military, non-military, and visitor vehicle parking areas on 6.3 hectares overlooking Brennan Lake.
