This fourth school retains the design features of the previous schools. These features include the centrally-lit atrium, which floods daylight into interior spaces, advanced technology in HVAC systems, and highly computer-oriented, specialized, teaching spaces. The design of Sacred Heart Catholic High School was further enhanced by including a large 700-seat, multi-purpose auditorium, which serves not only as the school's auditorium, but also as a theatre for the Stittsville community. In 2003, a three-storey, 3,015 square-metre addition was built to accommodate the growing student population. The addition consisted of classrooms and science labs. |
